Forensic Supervision Course

This 40-hour course is designed to provide forensic supervisors with varying levels of experience as well as aspiring leaders the knowledge and tools they need to effectively manage the demanding expectations of a forensic unit by utilizing interaction lectures and hands-on activities.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Many organizations do not prepare new supervisors for their leadership positions and don’t offer guidelines on how to effectively lead and manage a team, leaving them to learn their roles through trial and error. Forensic Supervisors, in particular, can often find themselves promoted into positions where they oversee several units, some of which they may have very little knowledge of; in essence, they are tossed into a realm that they are unfamiliar with and unprepared for, often without no mentor inside their agency, in their field, to help guide them.
This course is designed to help those who desire to lead or are already leading Forensic teams in any capacity. This course will help you to develop your leadership style, manage and measure the performance of your team, effectively deal with and resolve conflict, and teach you how to create and lead a high performance, high impact team.

ATTENDANCE POLICY
Students must attend this course to receive a certificate. At any point if you need to leave for any reason, please let the instructors know as soon as possible and we will try to make accommodations to make up the portions of the course that you missed.
Individuals that have enrolled in a course but wish to cancel, need to do so 15 days before the beginning of the course. No shows for the course will not have their tuition refunded. Substitutions are welcome at any time prior to the beginning of the course. Cancellations made less than 15 days prior to the beginning of the course will be subject to a $150 cancellation fee. This fee may be waived in cases of legitimate emergencies.
To receive a certificate for the training, you must pass the comprehensive exam with 80% (or higher) at the conclusion of the course.
